We believe in experimentation here at resin.io, and learning and improving through projects. This is the idea behind Hack Fridays, when everyone on the team is encouraged to build projects on resin.io. This is also why we love hackathons, as they present a unique opportunity to quickly develop and test ideas in a fun and focused setting. It’s been a long time since our last event, and we are happy to announce that we are putting together the next resin.io Spring Hackathon in London on Saturday, March 11th!
The theme of the hackathon is multi-device Internet of Things, so any projects are acceptable as long as they use at least two devices — beyond that, get creative! Resin.io is free for your first 5 devices, so you should also be able to continue building what you’ve built at the event!
We’ll be bringing a lot of Raspberry Pis, sensors, HATs, and other hardware that might come in handy for your projects. You can find a preliminary list on our forums, in case you’d like to plan your project beforehand! Let us know if you think something interesting or important is missing from that list.
The event will be hosted at Campus London and runs from 9 am to 9 pm on the 11th. We’ll be providing food and refreshments throughout the day. A big part of our team will be coming as well, so you’ll have direct access to all the support that you might need to turn your ideas into working projects on resin.io! (And many will be working on projects alongside you)
If this sounds interesting, please register at the event’s page on Eventbright! At Campus, there’s space for about 80 people, so we’ll be screening applications, to make sure the people with the highest potential for cool projects will have a chance to get in the event!
